The paperless clinic case study
Not only are you interested in saving the planet by cutting down on paper and plastics ( yes think of those bastions of waste control, or is it increasing average sales, supermarkets) but you wouldn’t mind making more money through efficiencies along the way.
Let me tell you about a current case study on a clinic I’m working with.
The Wins I’ve had in the last month.
Customer service staff
They spent 3 hours a week inputting new patient details and scanning forms into their practice management software for an average 25 new patients each week.
They spent 5 hours a week updating appointment confirmations manually from emails and texts into the practice software for an average 300 a week.
Saving of 8 hours a week at $30ph. $240pw that’s $12k p.a.
Practice manager
They needed spreadsheets to calculate payroll each week that took 3 hours.
They also spent 3 hours a week entering daily sales data into an accounting program.
Worked hours needed to be calculated manually from appointment records for leave calculations. 1 hour a week.
Total saved is 7 hours at $50ph so $350pw or $18k p.a.
Total savings are $30k p.a.
That’s improvements that came up in the first two months of planning. There’s much more work to do improving sales, profits and business value coming and I’ll report on that soon.
